KIDS PROGRAM POLICIES
Q. How should children dress for an art class?
We are an art studio and children should dress accordingly. Although smocks are provided, children may soil their clothes, depending upon the type of art project they are working on. It is typically NOT recommended to wear white sweaters, tops or pants to the studio. The studio temperature varies, it is suggested to bring a sweatshirt that has sleeves that can be pulled up.
Q. Food & Drink during a class?
We are a NUT FREE FACILITY. Please do not send your children to class with any nut products. If your child requires a drink or snack, please send with them in a spill proof container, in a bag or backpack. Most classes do not have designated break times for snacks but children may step away to eat if they need to.
Q. What is the Sick Policy?
Please do not bring sick children to the studio! If your child is sick, please keep them at home until he/she is 100% well again and free from coughs, upset stomach, fever, and/or runny noses. Any child with a hint of yellow discharge needs to stay home. Coughs: If your child's cough is at all phlegm sounding, please do not bring them to the studio.
KIDS CLUB AND CAMP
Q. What happens during a typical day at the kids club/camp?
A typical day at Scrap U & Artistry Too includes a variety of different art mediums including painting, slime making, clay modeling, paper crafting, mixed media, paper mache and more! Projects vary. Typically in the morning, the children do an art project, have a snack, and complete a second project before lunch. Time permitting, if the children have free time, they can enjoy games, draw/color or use their electronic devices. In the afternoon, the children work on one or two more art projects and have a snack. Near the end of the day, the children can wrap up any unfinished pieces of their projects, enjoy game time or mini craft projects. *Depending on the weather and our schedule, we may go outside to play games and do an art project.
Q. How much food should I pack for my child every day?
For a full day program, children will need a BAG lunch and 2 snacks each day. Lunches should be room temperature and not require heating. Children should bring utensils, plates, napkins, or anything necessary for them to enjoy their meal. Children should bring a drink for each snack and lunch; for a full day that is THREE drinks. It is recommended to pack your children water in a DRIP Proof bottle. There is bottled water for sale at the studio for $1 each. *We do not recommend children drinking water from the sinks/tap within the studio. WE ARE A NUT FREE FACILITY. NO NUTS, PEANUT BUTTER, ETC. IS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO. * If your child is in before or after care - please ensure that they have additional snacks and drinks.
