Remote Learning

​During the upcoming school year, Scrap U & Artistry Too will be a host site for Remote Learning, freeing up parents to work and attend to other responsibilities during the day.  We offer a safe and creative environment for kids in Grades 3-6 where they can accomplish their school work in the morning and then be free to engage in creative art projects for the remainder of the day.

Students will be spread apart by 6 feet throughout the day and we will adhere to and enforce all state guidelines for COVID-19 safety.

We hope this program can help reduce the stress among parents who can’t easily pivot to work-from-home and supervise children all at once.

​Hours and Options

Full Day 8:30 am - 4 :30 pm $70 per student
Half Day AM School Only 8:30 am - 1:30 pm $40 per student
Half Day PM Art Only 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm $35 per student
NOTES: Students in grades 3-6 eligible. Students can arrive 15 minutes prior to your school's start time. ARIS student times can be adjusted based on updated school schedules.

General Information

During School Hours (approximately 8:30 am - 1:30 pm), all students will have a quiet, socially distanced space to work through their school schedules. If your school meets outside of these hours, please contact us for accommodations.

• If you choose Full Day, students, upon finishing their morning online studies,  will have a short break for lunch and move into the afternoon art program. Please have students wear clothing appropriate for an art studio. 
• AM only students, upon finishing their morning online studies, will gather up their belongings and prepare for pickup by 1:30 pm.  ​
• PM art-only students may be dropped off at our studio starting at 1:30 pm and will begin their assigned art projects upon arrival. Students must be picked up by 4:30 pm. 

​During a typical afternoon at Scrap U, your child will learn about and explore a variety of art mediums from our experienced staff, such as painting, clay, tissue paper resist, oil pastels, and more.

POLICIES

• Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration. Your child is not registered until tuition is paid and child profile form (CLICK HERE) is completed.
• Failure to make full payment, may result in the loss of the student's spot when the camp is completely filled. 
• No refunds or credits will be offered for absences, illness, vacations and/ or weather related closures.
• Please print and complete the Medication form (as required) for each student. All medication must be labeled with the prescription information in its original container and come with the form in a zip lock bag.  Medication MUST be checked in by a PARENT NOT A CHILD.
• Late pick-ups will be charged an additional fee of $15 for every 15 minutes.
• Disclaimer: Scrap U does not provide any technical support or assistance with educational instruction or homework.  Your child is expected to perform their studies independently and reach out to their teachers online for assistance. If your child requires assistance throughout the day that cannot wait, we will contact you or your secondary contact o provide the necessary support. If your child cannot perform their work or log in, and you are not available, they will be expected to sit quietly and draw or read a book from home until they are dismissed or moving on to their next program. 

REMEMBER TO

• Bring your own computer, charger cord, earbuds, and other necessary school supplies.  If your child will be using Google Meets for live group chats, please bring the ear buds with microphone attached AND a tri-fold board or privacy screen to prop around your desk.
• Wear a mask. Students will be screened upon arrival. Please do not send in your student if they have any type of illness, fever, or sore throat.  Studio reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest if they feel there is a risk  of illness or injury to themselves or others.  No refunds or credits will be applied.
• Wear appropriate clothing for full day or PM art program.
• Bring a bag lunch and plenty of water (sink water is not appropriate for drinking). No peanut products please.
