Oil Painting Lessons with Certified Bob Ross Instructor!
Thursdays, June 1, 8, 15 from 6-8pm & June 22 from 6-9 pm

Open to Adults & Kids, 12 & Up
Session One – June 1st 6:00-8:00PM
I will provide basic knowledge of oil paint usage, canvas tips, brush types, and cleanup.
Our composition will begin with the proper use of the wet-on-wet base medium,
and how it allows us more freedom to create. We will begin our painting with a beautiful sky,
as we create depth and fill the sky with clouds. As time allows, you will learn the basics for painting bushes and trees, demonstrating the true meaning of this wet-on-wet technique.
Session Two – June 8th 6:00-8:00PM
In session two, I will re-cap our first class by painting a simple sky.
I will cover mountain techniques to create depth and interest in our painting.
Due to the time that’s required to provide detailed instructions on the mountain
techniques, this session will have fewer elements in our composition. We may finish
this session with a foreground lake.
Session Three – June 15th 6:00-8:00PM
In session three, we will explore creating spruce/pine trees, bushes, and grassy areas.
We’ll start with a simple sky and spend most of the class time learning to load
brushes properly, paint consistency, and use of contrast.
Session Four – June 22nd 6:00-9:00PM
Putting it all together! We will combine all the elements and techniques we’ve learned in sessions 1-3 to create a beautiful painting. This class is 3 hours in length to allow us enough time to coverall the elements, skies, clouds, mountains, trees, and bushes.
